Let’s Celebrate World of Gratitude Day!
I wanted to share today this special journal made by my dear friend Jane and knew it would be a perfect way to celebrate World Gratitude Day! Showing gratitude has proven to be beneficial to our emotional and physical well-being as well as a great stress reliever. Take a few moments if you can today and reflect on the many amazing things you have in your life. It’s amazing how one person can make a difference in another’s life by being grateful.
Let’s talk about this beautiful journal. The cover shade of purple is so summery and she has focused on using the Love of Leaves Bundle. These dies add that stitching to the leaves perfectly. The colors used are Mint Macaron, Magenta Madness, and Bumblebee Inks, with a touch of Cinnamon Cider Card Stock. The smaller leaves and tag use one of the Brushed Metallic Paper from the mini catalog. If you look closely, you can see the dark brown label cut out of the new festive felt sheets in the mini catalog. Did you know you can cut the felt with our dies? How cool is that! I love how she added one of the gold hoops from the Gilded Autumn Suite. It frames the word “Notes” perfectly. Let’s not forget about the Metallic Ribbon and the Blue Gems. It adds that perfect touch of some bling.
This gorgeous notebook has been what I am using as my Gratitude Journal. It was a perfect gift to go with the launch of my new Logo Branding. Thank you Jane and I look forward to filling it up with lots of gratitude!
I would love for you to share with me what you are grateful for. Or if you have a special gratitude journal you use to write in? I would love for you to leave me a comment below.
I’ve been filling out a daily journal since I was taking care of my Mom several years back, and I’ve continued to do so. It’s a really great tool. When I think I’m having a “bad” day, it’s nice to look back at all the blessings and things I truly have to be grateful for. Great reminder!
Patty, thank you for sharing your story with us. I just started mine, so I am looking forward to looking back as you do and remind me how rich my life is.
The journal is beautiful! Love the simplicity of the design.
Your friendship is one of the many things I am grateful for.
Right back at you with the friendship. The journal is lovely and feel special having it made specially for me.
Hi, Nancy, I have not been faithful to journaling at any point in my life, until Covid19 made its appearance. My sisters, Ellen and Kathy and I have been emailing each other every day, sharing our successes and failures each day, as well as confessions of major failures in the kitchen, or trying to complete your shopping list with store shelves being hit or miss. Those of us who are clever also include photos by way of illustrating our messages. We have never been in such close contact since we have been “grown up”, and this has prompted a new sense of sisterhood, which we each appreciate. There is no keeping up a brave front or hiding big mistakes or loneliness. It is a terrific experience to share the way we did when we lived under the same roof. I have saved all my “updates,” as a record of the past 6 months. I am grateful for the opportunity to reflect, and even more grateful for my sisters who join in this project. Thank you for the opportunity to share this time with my sisters, and for making me acknowledge how much this means to me.
Mary how wonderful something good came out of something not so good. I am so happy you are enjoying the closer relationship with your sisters. And I know all the cards you send to them are sure to be making a difference also. Journaling is a great way for reflection. My grandparents always journaled. I can see them both sitting at the dining room table, one at each end writing in their journal each night. I have a huge box of their journals and hope to some day finish going thru them. They were farmers, so there was a lot of interesting stories to tell. Good Memories!
