Let’s create a simple & easy card with SU Card Sketch #9 with things you have in your card making supplies.  Many sketches use scraps of designer paper like in today’s card to create a simple & easy card! 

Designer Paper strips can really be any size in your scrap collection.  A simple label for the greeting is all you need and some bling embellishments!

This is a card sketch template guide to help create a card. It shows that there are number of strips on the card front. A circle has also been added for a greeting.

SU Card Sketch #9 Card Supplies

  • Simply Said Stamp Set
  • Thick Basic White Card Stock:  4 1/4″ x 11″ (card base)
  • Basic White Card Stock:  Scrap for Label Die Cut
  • Full of Life Designer Paper:  approx. (9) 1/2″ strips of various designs, 2 3/8″ x 6″ (envelope flap)
  • Spotlight on Nature Dies
  • Basic Black Stampin’ Blends
  • Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Seal+
  • Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Rhinestones Basic Jewels
  • Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad

Instructions for SU Card Sketch #9

  1. Score & burnish card base @ 5 1/2″
  2. Lay out Designer Paper strips in the order you want to adhere them.  Have extra strips if you are using different sizes.  Adhere to card front with Multi-purpose Liquid Glue off setting them as you work up your card
  3. Stamp greeting on scrap Basic White Card Stock, die cut with desired circle from the Spotlight on Nature dies, adhere to card front with dimensionals
  4. Color Rhinestone Basic Jewels with Dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blend, adhere to card front
  5. Adhere remaining designer paper to envelope flap, trim off excess

This set of cards are simply stepped up with some fussy cut images or die cuts.  Just a few simple embellishments is all you need to create a beautiful card that someone will love to receive!
