Magic in the Night

We kick off Day #2 with a card designed by Bekki, one of my Inkin’ with Heart team members.  It was a Make N’ Take for our first ever Mini Catalog Extravaganza.  She loves Halloween and jumped at the chance to share this card and other projects with the team for our event this past August.  It was wonderful to see team members step up and out of their comfort zone to present to others.  I love my team!

Bekki focused the design of her card on the Z Fold, which makes it easy to pull the design together quickly.  You can see when the card is closed, it looks like a normal card front, and once it opens you can see the Z fold.

Begin with a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of card stock.  Score at 2/3/4″ and 5 1/2″.  That’s all you need to do to create the Z Fold.  Now it’s up to you on how you want to design the rest of the card.  Think of 2 panels that need to have a design on them.  I love how she showcased the Magic in this Night Designer Series Paper on the one panel and embossed card stock with the Cobweb’s 3D embossing folder for the other panel.    Labels and bats are cut out using the coordinating Halloween Magic dies.  If you look closely at the Designer Series Paper, you will see that the bats are die cut from there.  The spiders cut from the Black Glimmer paper which adds just the right amount of bling to the card.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing Bekki’s creation and have fallen in love with the “Magic in this Night” Designers Series Paper.  You can find it on sale for the whole month of October.
