Christmas Designer Paper Quilt Card

Let’s share the feeling of a handmade quilt by creating a Christmas Designer Paper Quilt Card for this Holiday Season!  Use some scrappy designer paper strips to create that scrappy quilt look that looks beautiful and easy to make.  The Joy of Christmas Mega Suite is filled with products to make this simple and easy card.

Just remember, there is nothing better than snuggling under a handmade quilt!  Let’s make some Creative Ink together!

 

Christmas Designer Paper Quilt Card Supplies

  • Joy of Noel Dies
  • Christmas Classic Dies
  • Joy of Christmas Designer Paper – 1/2″ strips 
  • Basic White Card Stock – 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
  • Adhesive Sheets – 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″, 2″ x 2″
  • Shaded Spruce Card Stock – 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″, 4″ x 4 1/4″ (holly leaves diecut)
  • Cherry Cobbler Card Stock – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
  • Gold Foil Sheets – 2″ x 2″
  • Gold Simply Elegant Trim – 16″
  • Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Seal+
  • Dimensionals
  • Paper Trimmer

 

Instructions for Christmas Designer Paper Quilt Card

  1. Score & burnish card base @ 4 1/4″, set aside
  2. Die cut holly leave label from Shaded Spruce Card Stock
  3. Adhere adhesive sheet to White Card Stock & Gold Foil pieces
  4. Die cut “Noel” from Gold Foil piece, remove backing from each letter, adhere to holly leave label, set aside
  5. Lay out 1/2″ designer paper strips in a pattern, remove adhesive backing, start from center at an angle and lay strips close together and work to outer edge with the strips.  Make sure strips overhang, trim off excess
  6. Adhere to Shaded Spruce Card Stock – 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″, adhere to card base with dimensionals
  7. Adhere Holly leave label to card front with dimensionals
  8. Tie bow with 16″ of Gold Simply Elegant Trim, adhere with mini glue dot

A simple card made with punched pieces of All About Autumn designer paper and coordinating card stock. The pieces are adhere to card front in a pattern with the greeting in the center as the starting point. Leaves are punched out of card stock. A linen thread bow is adhered to the bough leaves.
