World Card Making Day is this Saturday, October 3rd. Help me celebrate starting on Saturday for a whole week making cards to send to someone else. As we all know, sending a card to someone can make a difference in their life. I am continually trying to find ways to be a #SU difference maker and sending cards is one of them. Let’s celebrate “Make a Card, Send a Card” by making cards for others.
My Monthly Stamp Club always made an extra card for the Port Byron Federated Church outreach program. Unfortunately, the church has not received any cards from us since the start of Covid. Would you help me make cards for this worthy cause? I am offering FREE packs of retired Designer Series Paper cut and ready to go for anyone local to me that would like to participate in making cards for the church.
Each package has 48 pieces of DSP ready to add to a card front, embellish it with a label, and maybe a strip of card stock. Simply use “Happy Birthday” or “Thinking of You” for a greeting, leaving the inside blank. The sample above will help get you started. All I ask in return, is to make 4 cards for the church and the rest of the DSP pack is yours to keep.
Email or message me if you would like to be a part of this wonderful give back to the community and be a #SU difference maker with me as we celebrate World Card Making Day together. I will be posting the cards next week created with my pack of retired DSP on my facebook page CreatewithNancy.
Dear Nancy,
What a great idea! I loved when we were making cards for the Church’s Shut-ins. I Know from my Mother’s experience that no one ever says, I hate it when I get a card. or I have too may cards. I will happily make Thinking of You cards for our favorite meeting spot. Thanks for prompting us to think about someone else.
NOTE I have tons of DSP and would be happy to use it for such a great purpose.
Thank you Mary for embracing World Card Making Day and making some cards for the church. They are definitely a way for them to stay connected with their members and I’m sure will be useful in the coming winter months. I’m glad you are using some of that treasured DSP!
Hi Nancy – for sure I would make cards for the church. Count me in!
Thank you Linda for being a #SUdifference maker with me. The church will be thankful for anything they receive.
