A set of three holiday cards with gold foil accents and gold embossing. Ribbons adorn the card fronts. All cards all have a very vanilla card base.

Do you like a Simple & Elegant Holiday Card?  The Christmas Classic dies and Joyful Designer Paper creates a Simple & Elegant Holiday card.  The Gold Foil die cuts are easy and heat embossing the greeting with  Gold Embossing Powder as well.  Using the Joyful Specialty Designer Paper with the Gold & Vanilla Satin Edge Ribbon makes this set of cards simply elegant and will be loved by all that receives one.

Simple & Elegant Holiday Card Supplies

  • Christmas Classics Bundle
  • Joyful Specialty Designer Paper – 3 3/4″ x 5″, 2 3/8″ x 6″ (envelope flap)
  • Thick Very Vanilla Card Stock – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
  • Card Stock – Shaded Spruce or Cherry Cobbler – 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″, scrap for greeting 
  • Gold Foil Sheets – 4″ x 4″
  • Gold & Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon – 8″ or 24″
  • Metallics Stampin’ Emboss Powders – Gold
  • Heat Tool
  • Embossing Additions Tool Kit
  • Versamark Ink Pad
  • Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Seal+
  • Dimensionals
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine

 

Instructions for Simple & Elegant Holiday Card

  1. Score & burnish card base @ 4 1/4″, set aside
  2. Adhere Joyful Designer Paper to either Shaded Spruce or Cherry Cobbler Card Stock
  3. Die cut a Holly frame from Gold Foil Sheet, adhere to the designer paper & mat
  4. If using the long die cut, tie ribbon around the designer paper & mat make a bow.  (the square frame will have just a simple bow)
  5. Adhere these layers to card front with dimensionals
  6. Emboss greeting on scrap card stock – run embossing buddy over card stock, stamp with versamark ink, shake off excess powder into tray, heat with heat tool till melted.  Die cut with the appropriate size frame.
  7. Adhere greeting to card front with dimensionals
  8. Tie a bow with 8″ of ribbon if using the square frame
  9. Adhere remaining strip of Designer Paper to envelope flap

A simple card made with punched pieces of All About Autumn designer paper and coordinating card stock. The pieces are adhere to card front in a pattern with the greeting in the center as the starting point. Leaves are punched out of card stock. A linen thread bow is adhered to the bough leaves.
